The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has announced the adjournment of its 2nd Summer Skill for Professional Mountain Guide Training 2026 until further notice, citing a decision made by the association's leadership.
According to an official notice issued on July 27 and signed by NMA General Secretary Rajendra Bahadur Lama, the decision was taken under the instruction of NMA President Fur Gelje Sherpa and with the consent of Acting President Bodharaj Bhandari. The decision was made in consultation with the General Secretary, members of the Executive Board, and the Mountaineering and Training Expedition Committee.
The association stated that the training programme has been postponed indefinitely and a new schedule will be announced at a later date. The notice did not specify the reason behind the postponement.
NMA has apologized for any inconvenience caused to participants and stakeholders, expressing appreciation for their understanding and continued cooperation.
